Amal Clooney — nee` Alamuddin — can do no wrong when it comes to style. The top human rights lawyer had a notable past year in fashion, after all, since she married George Clooney in Italy wearing the custom-made Oscar de la Renta wedding dress of our dreams.
And now, the British barrister was the talk of the 2015 Golden Globes Awards red carpet — not because her husband was the recipient of the night’s Cecil B. DeMille Award — but because of her gorgeous ensemble. Not only did she knock it out of the park (during her first time at the event!) in a black Dior Haute Couture gown with a one-shouldered cape, but she also brought back an Old Hollywood trend — sleek elbow-length white gloves, paired with a white clutch, chandelier earrings, loose waves and red lips.
We couldn’t be more obsessed with her choice to dress up her already-elegant look with gloves. They’re a chic, timeless touch that can add that little something extra to a bridal look — just look at Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s wedding ensembles.
