A New Year’s Eve Blowout Wedding With Gold and Cream Accents

When Todd (creator of celebrated wedding planning company, Todd Events) and Ceron got engaged and started thinking of possible venue locations, the first thing that came to mind was the beach. But, the more they thought about it, the more they realized the beach just wasn’t for them. “Ceron loves to dress up — he would wear a tux every day if he could,” Todd jokes. “So we chose New York because there is no more glamorous city.” Not to mention, no more glamorous time! The two were married on New Years Eve at The Glass Houses, a modern venue in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
The celebration, which lasted the entire holiday weekend, incorporated gold, cream and black details in keeping with the festive glamor of the holiday season and the elegant, upscale events the couple planned. “We wanted to go old-school classic: Lobster Thermidor, waiters in white jackets and floor-to-ceiling windows where everyone could see the city,” Todd says.
In addition to the sophisticated meal (did we mention the ring-themed appetizers by Peter Callahan Catering and the gold leaf cake by Sylvia Weinstock?), Todd and Ceron brought in dancers, a mariachi band and provided guests with a custom tote bag (with their personalized monogram).
